“America’s abundance was not created by public sacrifices to “the common good”, but by the productive genius of free men who pursued their own personal interests and the making of their own private fortunes” Ayn Rand
“”Money is your means of survival. The verdict you pronounce upon the source of your livelihood is the verdict you pronounce upon your life. If the source is corrupt, you have damned your own existence. Did you get your money by fraud? By pandering to men’s vices or men’s stupidity? By catering to fools, in the hope of getting more than your ability deserves? By lowering your standards? By doing work you despise for purchasers you scorn? If so, then your money will not give you a moment’s or a penny’s worth of joy. Then all the things you buy will become, not a tribute to you, but a reproach; not an achievement, but a reminder of shame. Then you’ll scream that money is evil. Evil, because it would not pinch-hit for your self-respect? Evil, because it would not let you enjoy your depravity? Is this the root of your hatred of money?”” Ayn Rand
Recently my city council voted to raise taxes in order to overcome budget problems. With long faces they proclaimed their decree as if it was the hard thing to do. They deemed it necessary to place another burden on the tax payer and then patted themselves on the back for taking the right stand that was the unpopular. These cowards, consisting of both D’s and R’s, took the easy road and simply raised taxes instead of cutting wasteful programs, spending, and city positions.
As much as these types of leaders like to say that raising taxes and going against the will of the people is real leadership, it is a bold face lie. They refuse to truly take the hard road and cut waste. By cutting waste they will bring the wrath of the progressives and the liberal media upon themselves. This threat of bad publicity and possibly being called names is far more than these self-proclaimed “leaders” are willing to endure, so they take the easy road and vote to raise taxes.
It’s time for us to remove these cowards from office. We need people who will stand firm when the media starts its spin machine, endure protests from racists like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, endure the rent-a-mobs’ protests, ignore the threat of force by faceless cowards on the internet, ignore the looters when they proclaim hardships because of these types of waste cuts, and who will truly cut the waste. A real leader endures for the good of his people. Right now, the people are being taxed to death and regulated into Marxism. We need people who will stand on individualism, capitalism, and put the people’s consitutional rights above altruism’s pitiful pleas and cries.
We need leaders who know how to lead and who are willing to lead by example. When challenged by looters and progressive Marxists, we need leaders who are bold and willing to explain their actions in a way which debunks the looters’ cries.
It only stands to reason that where there’s sacrifice, there’s someone collecting the sacrificial offerings. Where there’s service, there is someone being served. The man who speaks to you of sacrifice is speaking of slaves and masters, and intends to be the master. ~Ayn Rand
If allowed in the debates(which is shameful how the D’s and R’s think they own the election process), I believe Johnson’s message of liberty could swing a lot of voters away from Obama and Romney.
America, it is time to wake up and stop allowing these tyrants to enslave you little by little each year. One day you will wake up in bondage. Your chains will be placed around you in the name of safety and security. You say I am crazy? Since 09 11, how many rights have you lost in the name of national security?
