Today’s “conservatives” are futile, impotent and, culturally, dead. They have nothing to offer and can achieve nothing. They can only help to destroy intellectual standards, to disintegrate thought, to discredit capitalism, and to accelerate this country’s uncontested collapse into despair and dictatorship. Ayn Rand “Conservatism: An Obituary,”

The only thing flip flopping Mitt will never flip flop on is defending Romneycare and state socialized medicine. Why do you conservatives keep defending this big government progressive and why do you use the 10th amendment to pardon state socialism?
You people better wake up and stop living in a fantasy world. Mitt Romney is a big government progressive just like Obama. Mitt in his own words and by his own actions prove this! Yet, time and time again, I have conservatives telling me “Anybody but Obama!” but when I point out that “anybody” as Gary Johnson, they all of a sudden back track the “anybody” statement and start defending Mitt Romney!
As I have said many times before, Romney represents a greater danger than Obama. Romney represents conservatives supporting socialism in the name of defeating socialism! Yes, they defend socialism in order to defeat socialism! This is far more dangerous than the second coming of the chosen one!
Socialism is socialism no matter if its on a local, state, or federal level. There is no way to spin this fact.
The hardest thing to explain is the glaringly evident which everybody had decided not to see. Ayn Rand
I am amazed how many conservative believe that Mitt Romney: who introduced socialized medicine into the US when he signed Romneycare, will repeal Obamacare. You people better wake up and accept the facts instead of defending this progressive just because he has a R in front of his name.
Romney says he likes parts of ‘Obamacare’
WASHINGTON (AP) — Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney, who promised early in his campaign to repeal President Barack Obama’s health care overhaul, says he would keep several important parts of the overhaul.
‘‘Of course there are a number of things that I like in health care reform that I’m going to put in place,’’ he said in an interview broadcast Sunday on NBC’s ‘‘Meet the Press.’’ ‘’One is to make sure that those with pre-existing conditions can get coverage.’’
Romney also said he would allow young adults to keep their coverage under their parents’ health-insurance.
Those provisions have been two of the more popular parts of Obama’s Affordable Care Act.
‘‘I say we’re going to replace Obamacare. And I’m replacing it with my own plan,’’ Romney said. ‘‘And even in Massachusetts when I was governor, our plan there deals with pre-existing conditions and with young people.’’(source)

If these so-called conservative talk show host exposed Mitt Romney in the same manner they went after Obama in 2008, then I do not believe Romney would have gotten out of the primaries. This is yet another example of how El Rushbo and crew failed their audiences by not hammering Mitt Romney using Mitt’s own words. BUT NO they sat back and claimed they would let the primaries work themselves out and “Anybody but Obama!” If they challenged Romney on Romneycare, it was with softball questions and a warm smile!
It’s time the people supporting the GOP and people like Limbaugh, Hannity, and Gallagher accept the fact that these people are nothing but ear tickling party hacks. These people did not do their job and expose Romney as the progressive liberal he is during the primaries and now they tell us to vote for him because of his big government, bail out begging, partner Ryan!
Wake up America!
Why did Rush not go after Mitt Romney when Romney supported abortion, socialized medicine, gun control, and even admitted he was a progressive? Why?
I am really disappointed with conservative talk show hosts during this election cycle. This year, with the progressive Mitt Romney likely to be the GOP presidential candidate, it’s a unique opportunity for hosts like Rush Limbaugh to stand against the GOP establishment and to stand for the liberty and freedoms of the American people. Instead of cowing down and/or making excuses, ignoring Romney’s progressive records, and being a long-faced sheep, these talk show hosts should encourage the people to either vote for Gary Johnson, write in a name, or simply boycott the presidential election and focus on the Senate and House.
Actually, the truly disturbing thing was early in the primaries these talk show hosts did not do their job in exposing Romney. They were often vocal of Ron Paul’s stand on international affairs, but were, in my opinion, very soft against Romney, Santorum, and Gingrich.
It’s easy to take a hard stand against Obamacare and the Supreme Court because those are political talking points. The truly hard thing to do is take a hard stand against your own party and supporters.
If people like Rush Limbaugh truly had the fire of a man like Patrick Henry, then we would hear them defy the GOP by standing against the GOP’s progressive agenda. I fear that instead of being like Patrick Henry, they have chosen to be like Benedict Arnold and put their careers in front of the needs of the American people. Truly, these so-called conservative Tea Party-supporting talk show hosts have failed us, the people! They have taken the middle ground with Romney while attacking the Democrats in order to deflect Romney’s problems.
In the end, people like Limbaugh and Hannity will defend Romney under the heading of “Anybody but Obama” and/or “This is what the primary process gave us, and even if we don’t like it, we must defeat Obama!” They will defend Romney all because of the “party” while down talking any 3rd party movements and those who wish to consider another option. They will advise us to stand together and defeat Obama while ignoring the fact that Romney’s ideology represents the same problems as Obama’s ideology, just not as openly or as fast-paced.
Now that Romney has picked Paul Ryan to be VP, these conservative talk show hosts are a buzz with how great Ryan will be and how he will cut waste with his budget ideas. They will uplift Ryan as a fiscally responsible defender of small government and a friend of the tax payer. What they will fail to tell you is that Ryan is a big government, bait-and-switch, DC politician whose record has the glaring marks of TARP, No Child Left Behind, and other big government wasteful entitlements. These talk show hosts are no different than their liberal counterparts in how they spin the facts, create defenses for Ryan, and ignore his record. If anything is pointed out about Ryan’s record, they all hide behind, “Well nobody is perfect, and he is better than Obama!”
I have been told by many that if I do not vote for Romney, then it is a vote for Obama. I refuse to betray my core beliefs about capitalism, liberty, and personal freedom from tyranny just to win an election by voting for a progressive with an R in front of his name. So, I am not the one throwing my vote away. Those who are willing to compromise and vote for Romney are the ones throwing away our country’s future!
And another thing, if you claim to be Tea Party and you were bought with Ryan’s nomination as VP, then please stop and ponder Ryan’s record. There is nothing about Ryan that is Tea Party and/or free market.
This is not a defender of small government and the free market system.
